Chloe designer fashion

The lingerie brand Chloe was created back in 1952 when the designer, Egyptian-born Parisienne Gaby Aghion, rejected the stiff formality of the era and let her bohemian spirit reign.
The beautiful undergarments of this brand are made from fine and soft fabrics that the designer called “luxury prêt-à-porter.” The fabrics when they were first used were unique for their time and were delightfully soft and body conscious. The brand Chloe when it was originally designed allowed women to get great garments off the rack.
In 1956 Gaby Aghion and her business partner Jacques Lenoir debuts the first collection of Chloe in Paris’ infamous meeting place for artists and existentialists, Café de Flore. This was the business partners’ favorite place to work and play. It also proves to be a very inspirational place for the designer.
Gaby Aghion named her company Chloe because the name was warm and feminine and also complimented a style that had a slightly audacious spirit. By the 1960s the label grew to such an extent that chloe hothouses became the definition of the ready-to-wear movement in Paris, which was coined Le Style by a group of youthful left bank designers.
Past and current celebrity stars who love Chloe garments include Brigitte Bardot, Grace Kelly, Nathalie Portman and Kirsten Dunst.
