PRIOR TO USING YOUR WATCH, PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU’VE THOROUGHLY READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION ABOUT IT. ONLY THROUGH THIS WILL YOU TRULY HAVE A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR WATCH.

WATER RESISTANCE/WATER PROOF

Please note that although certain watches are water-resistant to a certain degree, Time Traditions will recommend that you try to keep it away from water whenever possible and always guarantee that the watch crown is screwed in tight to avoid water or moisture from entering it. Bear in mind that before we send the watches, they have been checked and was found out to be in working condition.

Refrain from wearing your watch when taking a shower or swimming. This is to prevent accidental moisture or water from getting in. The warranty that Time Traditions offers cannot be availed of if damage is caused by accidental usage.

Q1. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING I NEED TO DO UPON RECEIVING THE WATCH?

A1. Wind it. Most often than not, the watch might drain its energy during its journey. Do this by winding the crown 15 to 20 times, clockwise. However, if your watch is running on battery, then there’s no need for you to do this. On the other hand, if it has a screw-tight crown, turn it counter-clockwise until it becomes loose. Then you can wind it for 15 - 20 times clockwise, as mentioned. Then, push the crown inside. Simultaneously turn the crown clockwise and screw it tight back. Your watch begins to tick after manually winding it.

Q2. WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN MY WATCH STOPS TICKING EVEN IF IT IS AUTOMATIC?

A2. If your watch is a quartz version, it means that the battery has been fully utilized. In such an instance, please have the battery changed.

If it is an automatic watch, it’s running on stored energy. It means that it gains energy from every human hand kinetic movement. Thus, if you don’t wear it, it will stop working. To make it tick again, you have to wind it for 10 - 12 rounds by turning the crown clockwise. Setting the day and date correctly depends on whether it is controlled by the crown or by a recessed button pusher. You may then adjust appropriately. If day and date are adjusted through the crown, pull that gently once. Pull it out twice to adjust the time. If it is a screw in crown, unscrew the crown counter clockwise and follow the same actions to adjust Date/Day and Time.

Q3. HOW DO I ADJUST THE TIME?

A3. If your watch has a screw-in crown, unscrew it and turn it anti-clockwise. But this, you should do slowly and softly. The finest way to do this is to use first and second finger and use finger knuckle as a lever so as to pull the crown out with as little force as possible. When you feel a little click, that signals you to turn the crown counter-clockwise. This then allows you to turn the hands forward so you can set the right time. When time is set, push the button back and screw the crown clockwise for a few rounds to ascertain that it is screwed back tightly.

Q4. HOW DO I SET THE GMT & LOCAL TIME?

A4. GMT means Dual Time Zone and it typically uses a 24-hour clock rather than a 12-hour clock that we normally use. This feature allows for the setting of 2 time zones. A local minute-hour hand time as well as a GMT (sometimes red) arrow second time zone.

To adjust time, please follow the instructions below:

1. Unwind the crown anti-clockwise softly and slowly until it loosens up. To pull out the button stem, you can select between two steps, which will be discussed below. Don’t forget to do it lightly - and never exert too much force.

2. STEP ONE is for setting the GMT second time zone. STEP TWO is for setting the local time. Pull one-step out is to set GMT and date by winding the button clockwise and anticlockwise respectively. Pull one more step is for setting local time. Pushing the crown inward one step shall bring it back to GMT setting. On the other hand, if you push it back 2 steps, you’ll be taken to the normal position - and you can then wind this clockwise and gently push it back so the crown can be secured onto the watchcase.

3. Set local time FIRST and then GMT SECOND time zone. As you change the local time, the GMT automatically changes too.

Q5. WHEN DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE BATTERY OF MY QUARTZ WATCH?

A5. A new battery will normally last for two years. Depending on the time of the last replacement, you would probably have to change battery within two years.

Q6. I HAVE A WATCH WITH DATE, HOW DO I ADJUST THE DATE?

A6. To change date and time you need to do the following. If you have a screw-in crown like a Rolex, you need to turn the crown anti-clockwise for a few rounds until the crown becomes loose. Then you have to pull the crown out softly by using your thumb’s nail and first finger’s nail. Don’t forget to do this gently, otherwise, you might ruin the stem. You must feel a click here. There are 2 steps when you pull the crown out. The first one lets you set the date (and day, if applicable. The second step sets the local time (refer to Q2 and A2 for details). Bear in mind that dates can only be set forward - that is, by winding the crown in 1 direction. Once done, push back the crown, wind it clockwise a few times, and lock it.

Q7. WHAT IS SCREW-IN CROWN? HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS?

A7. A Screw-in crown will lock into the case of the watch when you wind the crown clockwise toward the watch case. It tightens when it is tightly screwed. A screw-in crown is used by most of the Rolex watches. To unwind the crown in your Panerai replica watch, turn the button counter clockwise until it comes out by approximately 1.0 to 1.5mm. Do this slowly; otherwise, you might break the stem link. As soon as the crown comes out, start setting the time, date and date - as you do with other watches. To lock it, gently turn it and push it toward the watch until it is locked tight. NO need to put extra force after it is tight! For most other non screw-in crown watches, you just wind it, adjust time, date, day without the need to un-screw the crown.

Q8. HOW DOES A RECESSED PUSHER DIFFER FROM OTHER PUSHER BUTTONS?

A8. Recessed pushers are those buttons that are placed inside the watch body, for aesthetic purposes, most especially. Often, there are so many push buttons on the watch already and making recessed pushers shall help save space and makes it more desirable to look at. Usually, this kind of pusher is utilized in setting the date, year and day. To push the recessed button all-the-way, use a ball-point pen; this makes the desired changes. Repeat the process until you get the change that you desire. Don’t forget to push all-the-way, not half-way - this causes wrong information to be shown or the other mechanical parts of the watch to malfunction.

Q9. HOW DO I USE THE STOPWATCH FUNCTION IN MY ROLEX DAYTONA WITH VALJOUX 7750B1 MOVEMENT WITH FUNCTIONAL CHRONOS?

A9. Chronograph buttons, which have are protected by protected screw locks, are present in the Daytona. This is a unique feature for Rolex Daytona. When you have to push the button, you need to un-wind the protective-screw to the level of the inside button, then you can push the button and press the button. Be sure to push it all the way and release it fully it when pushing. Doing this halfway may cause mechanical problems.

Q10. WHAT’S A TACHYMETER AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

A10. It’s a scale on the dial. In fact, several sports version watches have it either on the rim or bezel. It functions together with the second hand, measuring speed of a moving object. A tachymeter gets a value determined in less than a minute and converts it into miles/hour. This could be used, for example, to calculate the time that it takes for a car to travel from one mile marker to another. When the car passes the second marker, the second hand will be pointing to the car’s speed in miles per hour on the tachymetric scale.

Q11.HOW DO I PROPERLY UTILIZE THE STOPWATCH FUNCTION ON VALJOUX 7750B1 MOVEMENT?

A11. {To avoid damaging the Do these instructions to make sure that the fragile mechanisms of the Valjoux 7750b1 are not damaged.

If your Valjoux 7750b1 has DATE function, DO NOT ADJUST the date when your time is between 10:00 to 3:00. It’ll damage the internal gears unknowingly if you do that. Instead, manually adjust the time to 6:00 and change the DATE after.

If you are using the chronograph functions of the Valjoux 7750b1, always ensure that to start the stopwatch, you depress the pusher button on top and also to STOP the stopwatch, depress the same pusher button.

REMEMBER: START & STOP is TOP Pusher Button

ONLY after you STOP the stopwatch, then you depress the lower pusher button to RESET the stopwatch function. DON’T DEPRESS the lower pusher button when the stopwatch function is running. Only after you’ve STOPPED the chronograph shall you depress the lower pusher button.

If you abide by the instructions carefully, your watch will last a very long time. Since thesewatches aren’t made to COSC standards, nor are they SWISS GENEVE made or stamped, they would not last a lifetime. Remember a Panerai replica is always a replica, but do enjoy them because at a fraction of the cost, these cosmeticallyperfect replicas are a joy to wear, aren’t they?

Please send me an email through admin@timetraditions.com if you have other concerns.

Here are additional pieces of information for your 7750/7750b1/7753 Valjoux Movement watches.

*If your watch has the above movement, please read these data carefully.

1. How do you adjust the date on 7750 or 7753 or 7750b1 or any movement with date chrono/ automatic?

Do not activate the chrono unless you’ve done all these steps as discussed.

As soon as you receive your wwatch, please don’t forget to handwind the piece for maybe fifty rounds, so as to generate enough power reserve. If necessary, shake the watch like a mad cow for approximately 3 to 4 minutes - again, this is done to generate more power reserve.

To manually set the hour-hand and to determine when it’s AM or PM, pull out the crown. See the date change - then you will know when is AM or PM. Of course, be certain that you know if it’s AM or PM before proceeding.

Make sure you don’t change the date between 10pm-2am ever!!! It is just the way these watches work. If you adjust between 10pm-2am, the date will jam or go half way.

After you have confirmed the am/ pm…..you can turn the crown to get to the desired date.

Resetting the time hand back to zero is dependent on pure luck - you can either get a perfect or a not-perfect reset. Even my genuine Rolex Daytona din’t reset to zero until after 3 months. Of course, don’t forget to have adequate power reserve everytime you activate the chrono. Enjoy!
