Base-Down Triangle – Look for frames that emphasize the top half of the face, such as cat-eye styles.
Base-Up Triangle – Take attention to the lower half of the face with rimless glasses.
Square – The idea is to soften the face. Do that with rounded frames and narrow widths.
Diamond – Have fun with either extended upper frames, such as cat-eyes or go for a rimless style. Either will look great.
The basic idea is to look for specs that totally go against your overall face shape. Go for round, oval, clic reading glasses, when you want to goof off. But if you want to look good, follow the rules. If you have angles on your face, wear glasses that have soft edges.
